Kafom Cu

KAFOM Cu is a plant defense enhancer based on potassium phosphite, enriched with copper chelated by EDTA.

The application of KAFOM Cu makes crops more resistant to oomycete pathogens such as Phytophthora spp. and Pythium spp., by disrupting their metabolism, by promoting the synthesis of phytoalexins in the plant, with an antimicrobial effect, and by activating stress response systems in crops. By these mechanisms, KAFOM Cu prevents the symptoms caused by infection by these pathogens, such as plant rot or watersoaking, which prevent the proper development of the crop and decrease yields.

In addition, the potassium phosphite incorporated in KAFOM Cu has a high systemic capacity, ensuring the efficient distribution and assimilation of the copper in KAFOM Cu, which is essential for the production of chlorophyll and, therefore, for photosynthesis to take place correctly.
