Meristem is focused on communications strategies and content that drive progress in sustainability.

Based in Alberta, Meristem works with a diverse range of groups who share this focus, in areas such as agriculture, environment, food, health and land use. Meristem draws on experience in extension communications, journalism, marketing and education to help tell the stories of sustainability in Canadian agriculture and food, as well as health, life sciences and the environment.

Terry Hockaday – President and Founder

Terry founded Meristem in 1992. He grew up on a mixed farm – an operation he still runs today in partnership with family. With a B.Sc. Agriculture, editorial positions at some of Canada's leading agriculture publications such as Country Guide and Canadian Cattlemen, Terry became a partner in Fieldstone Marketing and Public Relations. Fieldstone is one of the heritage companies of AdFarm. During his extensive career in agriculture communications and running Meristem, he has worked with many of Western Canada's farm organizations, companies and government departments.
